Two weeks ago, I ordered these boots. Not only are they kick ass, but they would work well with my halloween costume. Bam.

Well, on Tuesday, I was wondering where my boots where. I take a look at my order history on amazon.. and they said they were delivered on Monday. Weird. Okay.

So I call my building manager (there are three apartment complexes, and the packages are usually left with the building manager unless they can fit in the small mailbox). I state this is StoryDone, at so n so address.. do you have a package for me?

The person who answers says "Give me a second, I will look", and thinks she puts me on hold. Then she sits there, and sings along with the radio for a minute (she has an accent. I can tell it was her... they don't have hold music), and tells me that they don't have my boots.

I never said anything about them being boots. Weird.

(About this time, I was beyond pissed. And I was losing sense in humanity)

So I call the post office. They said they did deliver my package, to the building manager. They had the building managers sign it in. The head post officer manager said that he will keep me updated.

I visit the building manager(s). The lady who was on the phone had me check the room myself, to make sure they werent there. However, there was an empty box, in the corner that I couldnt touch, because it was sensitive material. (i.e. there was bleach bottle inside it).

Sure. Whatever.

I start shooting the company, who supplies the boots, emails concerning the situation. I was told by the post office that this isnt the first time packages have gone missing, in this way. I set it up so my husband or I have to go to the post office to pick up our packages, instead of delivering them. I also set it up on all my amazon accounts that packages will be set to the local FED EX.

The company emails me back. They are extremely grateful that I gave them the number of the post office I was speaking to, as well as the post officers name, as this speed up the claim process ALOT.

So. My faith has been restored; why? Even though someone stole, and opened my mail (though I don't have enough proof) (both are federal offenses) I will still be getting my boots thanks to the post officer and the company.

Oh! And there is now an investigation from the post office to the building managers. Bam.

TL:DR: I get my ass kicking boots due to the patience of a post officer and the kindness of a company.
