Sounds like feline herpes flaring up. My cat gets this when stressed. I treat it by adding a small pinch of L-Lysine powder to her food for a few days until it clears up. Go for a few days after it clears. Definitely read about L-Lysine. You can purchase in a natural grocery store or Amazon. Make sure it is pure, no other additives. I think this link could be useful for you.

Edit: here's the stuff I use. It will last you forever...

Have you ever tried L-Lyseine for the drippy eye? It has done wonders for us!
Edit:
Here's an article. Definitely read up and talk to your vet... but our vet loves that we give it to our cat with stress-related drippy eye. We used to give it every single day, in her wet food with a little extra water added... but now only give for a few days each time she has a flare up. I find just rolling a couple treats in the powder each day works for her now.
Here is the product we use. You need only a very small amount....It lasts forever.
