Miraculously, I've actually found something that helps: protease enzyme supplements. Pineapple and papaya naturally contain digestive enzymes (bromelain and papain), and you can buy capsules with one or both of them. About 15 minutes after taking one of these pills, it feels like someone's pulled the plug in the bathtub and I can feel things starting to drain out of my stomach.
They're available from Amazon.com or your local Whole Foods. They're not cheap, but I recommend giving them a shot.
