I have one too. Can confirm, is awesome. Get a jerky gun to go with it.

$23, good reviews.

You can also go another route, and use ground beef with a jerky gun

This method is my favorite because you don't have to marinade the meat first, just mix spices or pre-packaged mixes into the meat.

If you dont want to have to lay it all out and cut it all again you could get one of these:

I remember seeing it advertised in the manual for my dehydrator. I have never actually made ground meat jerky though. You can also make Turkey Jerky pretty easy and cheap with frozen Turkey breast. Basically just cut and season it the same as you would with beef.

I use this jerky gun. I got it when I first started making jerky and have been waiting for it to break so I can upgrade, but it has surprisingly lasted quite a while.

The jerky absolutely stays together and holds shape. Once it goes through the dehydrator it stays in that shape. That’s one of the big things I like about it over whole muscle jerky - you can get everything into almost identical shapes/sizes. There’s also a lot of my friends and family that prefer it over whole muscle jerky since the texture is much easier to chew.

Yeah, I tried it... I had grand designs of making delicious home made beef jerky. I even bought the beef jerky kit for the dehydrator.

It requires a shit-ton of salt and preservatives, and was very dry and hard. And I didn't like how you get meat juice all over the dehydrator, it requires a fair bit of cleaning afterwards.

At the end of the day, the store bought beef jerky was just better than what I could make at home, though, I didn't try more than a few batches.

I've made decent jerky with this dehydrator before. I've used this thing before, but if I'm using ground meat I just shape it by hand now.
