If you're looking for something new, I would suggest looking into the Acer E15 for $350. It is a solid, budget friendly laptop with pretty decent specs and a good display. It comes with a kabylake i3 processor, 4gb of ram and a 1TB HDD. It also has a 1080p TN display, a backlit keyboard, and a very long battery life. It has intel HD 620 graphics which work okay for world of warcraft.

You would have to turn graphics down to get smooth FPS, but performance would be about 10-20% better than what is seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIp_bk3ZmI

You would be able to get pretty solid frame rate (~60), but you'd have to play on lowest settings and would get frame drops during high intense gameplay.

More realistically, the $480 Acer E5 with a GTX 940MX dGPU would probably work quite a bit better, and would be a good base laptop for WoW if you can afford the step up to it.

You can also see more of my suggestions in this list here.

I wouldn't really recommend this one, tbh.

Main reason I don't think it's worth it is because of its 1366x768 display. 1366x768 resolution doesn't let you fit much onscreen, and such a large screen it makes everything onscreen rather large. The display, even if less considered by some people, actually tends to make a lot more of a difference than most other specs for how nice a computer is to use. $429 is in price territory where 1920x1080 starts to become an option, and I think it's one of the most important things to make sure you get.

The 12GB RAM might make it look like an attractive option, but it doesn't really make much sense to buy a computer for its RAM. RAM is cheap and easy to upgrade, and the difference between, say, 8GB and 12GB, won't likely make near as much difference as other things for most use.

The GPU in the A12 APU is better than other iGPUs, but it's only about on par with a GT 920MX.

Something like these I think would be a better option at a similar price:

I am not sure how powerful do you need the laptop to be, but the best "gaming laptop" for this budget is this Aspire E 15 mainly because it comes with 940MX GPU which should be able to run Overwatch, CS:GO, on medium to high settings with high FPS, maybe if you push your busget to mid 600 you can get 960M GPU which would work even better , and it comes with 1080p which is recommended for your budget and it also comes with enough ram for smooth multi tasking (8GB) and 1 TB of HDD for storage.

Something such as this would be great.

no need to worry, the Acer Aspire is a good laptop to get in your budget. It is also easy to upgrade, as for build quality for the price you can't expect it to be the best out there but it is good for the price. Since you want to upgrade in the future you might want to look at This , you might notice that it has double the RAM and a SSD so factor those into your future budget

Great! This Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG Laptop would be perfect for you and the tasks you have to complete. It's nice i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, fast 256 GB SSD and geforce 940 mx dedicated graphics card will see you running games like LOL and completing your photo editing. It also has a brilliant battery life. If you prefer to get it with a 1 TB HDD here you go.

yes I do agree I would look at the New Acer Laptop Aspire E 15 E5-575G-52RJ as well. It is designed in compact design in the size of 15.6 inches. It uses HDD for internal storage. You can find three kinds of USB port to accommodate the old and recent USB drive. It comes with excellent keyboard and touchpad. The battery life is up to 8 hours without charging. The laptop still has DVD drive. However the processor is still Intel i5. Even though this processor is good for heavy work. For people who look for storage capacity, 1tb is a good option really great laptop. The NVIDIA GeForce 940MX is great for the games your looking to play too and will give you the required fps for it to run smoothly.
