I ordered that one. It has molded space for triggers.
This is one of the best small hard cases that is not covered in tacky crap and available to Americans. Brits and Australians are getting all the good medium sized cases so I went with that ಥ_ಥ.
This is the one I really want.
You cannot save copies of physical games to the Nintendo Switch. You can either go digital or get a carrying case that has game storage in it, like this one.
Looks similar to the Surge case that is popular here.

I may switch to this case, actually. Thanks, OP.
The Sheikah case from the Special Edition, but i am really REALLY interested in the one from Surge.
Edit: Guess we are needing links https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Carry-All-Case/dp/B01N6RMR30/
Previous user posted his/her opinions on cases not that long ago. Snagged this one on Amazon:

I'm going with the Nintendo Switch Carry-All Case by Surge.
Here's why I like it:
All that seemed pretty good to me so I'm going to give it a shot.
I wanted the official nintendo one with the screen protector but it's sold out on Amazon. Decided to pick up this hard shell one.

When Amazon has them in stock they are $12.99 and honestly I really like it.
I got this one because it's no-frills, has slots for eight cards, and extra space for the triggers: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6RMR30/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think I want one with a mesh lining at least so it can carry usb c chargers etc.
I'm mulling over these 3.

I found this one the other day when I was doing my own research. I have yet to receive it, but it was my top pick from the giant list found here.

Nothing flashy. I have a similar 3ds case that has been great. I always carry it in my hiking backpack.
I also ordered the Surge case. Its simple, has slots for cards and even a pouch for cables/cords.
Here is a link to it on Amazon. ($12.99+tax&shipping)
I'm getting this one until I can get a nicer themed one.

Hey friend. I went with a slim case by Surge on Amazon but returned it when I realized I couldn't fit extra jot cons and a battery. If you just want a slim, cool-looking case to carry the switch unit with attached joycons it can't be beat in my mind. It's only 10 bucks and good quality.

Personally, I've been looking for a case with three characteristics:
So far, the only case I've found that has all three is the Surge: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Carry-All-Case/dp/B01N6RMR30
It also has straps for joycons... so this one gets my vote (granted, it's not super sexy)
For me the case is just a little too bulky. I don't plan on carrying more than 1-2 games at a time, so a minimalist case that just carries the thing and has a pouch for headphones+charging cable is perfect. I'm still trying to decide between the Surge https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Carry-All-Case/dp/B01N6RMR30/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487107827&sr=8-1&keywords=Surge+nintendo+switch+case or Insignia case http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-go-case-for-nintendo-switch/5714427.p?skuId=5714427
Yeah...you probably should. I bought one, but haven't put it on yet. I've had it since launch and I haven't had any scratches on it. But I'm extremely careful when putting it in the dock and I have a case for it. I'd say a case is absolutely mandatory if you're going to be using it on the go.

This case seems to be popular from what I've read.
This is what I've been using:

I keep the switch itself inside of this:

The whole thing leaves room for a charging cable and some other accessories. I love it.

Not really sure about the case and the screen protector but I feel like they are necessary. Anyone else getting either, or both? Recommendations?
Hori is an alright brand, they make good controllers and high quality fightsticks. Their switch case looks okay, I went with this but you should be fine either way. If you are looking to buy a second case that holds the pro contoller or even the switch dock, waterfield is making three styles of switch case and preorders go up this Friday. They make the highest quality carrying cases I've ever used.
This carrying case as it is pretty inconspicuous, has divots in the case for the joy cons, and a dedicated space for games. I also snagged this powerbank came recommended by Spawn Wave. It's fairly cheap and should be able to charge the Switch twice on a full charge.
Gray Switch
Neon Red joy cons so that I can have a red /grey setup.
128gb micro sd card
This switch carrying case that has a bump out for the triggers
Here is the one I am getting
Sorry for mobile link.
Repost because "affiliate link" or whatever, hopefully I fixed it thanks to another user.
I use the one from the Breath of the Wild Collector's edition. It looks like this.
Here is one on Amazon that is a little smaller. In mine I can fit extra joycons.

I definitely recommend a hard case. Here is what I've got. Nintendo Switch Carry-All Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6RMR30/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3G-Yzb9EM1THW
Hello all,
I've been scouring the search feature and Google and I have a hard time picturing which case works for me exactly. I am looking for a case that can hold the future Nyko Portable Docking Kit, an extra set of JoyCons and their wrist straps + original wrist straps (The Docking Kit comes with an HDMI, power cable and the AC adapter). I realize that this might be a stretch given that the Docking Kit isn't out, but for those with amazing spatial abilities, that would be grand!
I'm really trying to avoid a backpack or huge compartments, a single-handed carrying case would be ideal.
These are the few that I've been eyeing but kind of torn with.
Butterfox
Hard EVA
Orzly
Surge
Thoughts anyone?

Nice, I got this one. Was really drawn to it's simplicity and how to the case shapes to the JoyCons.
I'm getting the Surge case. It was a popular choice in the Switch Case Recommendations post from a while back.
Edit: Here's that thread if anyone is curious.
I got this one Nintendo Switch Carry-All Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6RMR30/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_pzYOybAAVSHH4
How about this? Is very cheap yes.
This one is also very nice and cheap and has space for the back of the joycons.
This case in my opinion has the best design and is hard so that it can protect the console itself.
I use the official Nintendo hard case which I find great! I've also heard good things about the "Surge carry all case" I'll pop the link below
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Carry-All-Case/dp/B01N6RMR30
I'm currently using the Carry-All case. I've had it since Day 1, and it works well. However, the creator of this Switch TakeCase posted a giveaway here about a week ago and I think it looks great, I will be buying that one soon. Another good one is the Deluxe Travel case, I know someone who has it. It just isn't optimal for me since I carry a Pixel charger and I don't think it would fit in that zipper pouch.
