Here you go! Armor Guards
Went ahead and found them on amazon for you, now if you want the black ones I think they are only at GameStop
I have:
So $275 in accessories, $1300 in games, $300 for the switch itself.
Total $1875. Hours played are around 2600.
So I’m at 70 cents per hour played. Decent I think.
I don't know if it'll help much, but for handheld gameplay you can try these armor guards that PDP made. They seem to provide a more natural resting place for your fingers while in handheld mode, instead of the flat backs the joy-con's currently have.
I believe they're these grips
Whatever you decide, avoid the Joy Con Armor Guards by PDP. Absolute trash. Do not buy.
Is there a charging stand that fits 4 joy-cons with PDP Joy-Con Armor Guards attached? Based on what I'm seeing in photos, the HORI stand looks like it has a bit more space than the PowerA stand. I also found a stand with a different design made by GameWill (never heard of it) but the low number of reviews isn't promising.
Those don't cover the front, true enough, but I don't think they're what he's looking for. They're made for making sideways play comfortable, versus the image he linked to where it adds bulk to the back for split play or handheld play.
There are these that add a bit of thickness to the top and bottom, but just by pictures it doesn't look comfortable to me.
The Hori version of a silicon grip still covers the front, but might be better than others in that it leaves an entire circle around the d-pad buttons rather than smaller holes for each individual button. The right side isn't as lucky, though.
I've had similar issues but it's because my mitts are extra large (can easily palm a basket ball). I bought these to make the joycon a bit larger and they worked like a charm.
