I have made some changes to my ratio and have improved my methods. I used one of these to filter the large ball jars into smaller ball jars using paper filters. And yes, with one funnel this is tedious and uses a LOT of filters. I now use 1 and 3/4 cups coffee to 64 ounces of water. Have added two more stainless wide mouth funnels. So - next day when the brew is done, I set three small Ball jars with a funnel and paper filter in place. Pour off the entire batch into all 3 jars simultaneously, adding some thick and thin brew to each filter, and just dump the remaining grounds. Go away and let it drip, and then even out the jars to half way up and top off with water. I am now using three paper filters where I use to use 4, 5 and 6, trying to filter sludge by the end. Much quicker, less work, and I will do this forever.

Easiest by far to clean, fits on Mason jar, which is what I use. You do have to stir inside the funnel.
