I have tried a number of methods. These label removers work the best. http://www.amazon.com/Oenophilia-Label-Lift-50-Pack/dp/B003Z9AUCQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427824815&sr=8-1&keywords=wine+label+remover
You have to be careful to get the sticker on without any air gaps and I usually leave them on for a few days and rub them with the back of a spoon numerous times over the course of those few days.
2 ways:
If the bottle is empty and you want to keep it, use this to lift the label Label Lift
If the bottle has wine, do NOT use warm liquid as it has the potential to spoil the wine. Instead, use a razor scraper to scrape off the label. Then use a solution of water/dish soap with a metal scrubber to remove remaining residue. Use this method to "shine" the bottle for DIY and other relabeling projects.
If you want to save labels, I've had a bit of mixed luck actually using these, but they usually work. Only problem is that can be hard to use on odd shape bottles.

I've heard of kits like this for stubborn ones. Naturally you could never get the the lifter off the label, but it's better than nothing.
You could always try a wine label remover like this.
