It is a hardware switch which makes it possible to just install the two operating systems on different drives and then switch between the two by just physically cutting the power of the SSDs with the operating system you don't wanna use prior to booting. The downside is, of course that it only supports SATA devices - so it's not for high speed PCIE or NVME drives. Also I don't know how reliable this method is, cause I don't have the chance to test something like this myself. Just a possibility to propably look into.
