OK. So you can get the button switches online pretty cheaply (example):

You take the back cover off. Unscrew the thin black plastic cover from the motherboard and then change the switches. I've done this with my power button and it's working perfectly now.

There's a replacement if you feel confident taking the phone apart. Can also find them from other sellers and also on eBay. I had to replace mine a while back due to it being unresponsive at times. It was pretty easy.

Ill probably replace my N4 if the new Nexus phones price is in line with the previous Nexus phones and keep this one as a backup.
