Not that much it looks like actually. This is the camera he's using:
Lumix DMC-Gf1: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/330756766170
And this is the lense: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-14-45mm-3-5-5-6-O-I-S-Thirds/dp/B002IKLJV4
B and H Photo has a sold out set for both of those together, but can't view the price. He probably paid 550 tops for it and is doing some interesting things in my opinion.
EDIT: Also, his site/Tumblr is much nicer to scroll through than this shitty linkbait photo gallery: http://terrysdiary.com/
I'm looking at the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-45mm and was wondering if it would be a good lens also. I would love to use my Tamron 18-270mm but didn't know if an adapter would work.
Yes and no. It's good! But it's not that much better than the 12-42 G (not X). I don't know whether I'd be able to justify the price difference. The 12-45 is double the price. Both lenses are capable video lenses, one slightly better than the other. They're not top tier, but they are very capable for video under good lighting conditions.
There are quite a lot of budget lens available for M43 Cameras. As far as sharpness goes, you will get more with slightly more pricey glass but as far as starter/kit lens go:
If you are really on a budget get an Olympus 14-42mm <$100 and start renting the other lenses you are interested in.
Hope i helped!

Hi /u/masejay - congrats on the new camera!
> What would you recommend native wise to pair with the Sigma 18-35mm and speedboster combo?
I recommend the [Panasonic 14-45mm f/3.4-5.6 with Mega O.I.S.] (https://www.amazon.com/PANASONIC-14-45mm-F3-5-5-6-Mirrorless-H-FS014045/dp/B002IKLJV4//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20).
This lens will give you autofocus & dual IS, come close to filling the gap between your Sigma and your Canon - and, at $329.95 (as of this post), it shouldn't break the bank.
Plus, it's a pretty nice lens (examples shot with the GH4):
Hope this is helpful and look forward to seeing what you produce with your new GH5!
Weather sealing, maybe not. But you should be able to get something with stabilization. That's a pretty tight budget, so your options are limited, but you can get a used 14-45mm zoom lens for under $200.
