Well I love Papermate pens and use flair (felt-tipped) personally, which DO show through. But I also use their gel-pens, and I love them. I don't know how they hold up on moleskin pages, but these pens are amazing: Papermate Inkjoy. They're not nearly as classy as some of the pens other bullet journalists like to use, but they fit my price point and they write really well.

I have found a few pens I like for different reasons. Papermate inkjoy gel dry really fast, even the thick ones I use. I think you can buy just black too.... I would suggest getting smaller than you think because the ink really comes out. My other pens I like 0.7, but the 0.7 here is too thick for me...

For not bleeding through anything I like the uniball signo. I've linked the 0.38 because I got them because they dried faster, but I prefer the look and feel of the 0.7's. I'm looking for 0.5's too... I like them, but they definitely start having into continuity issues once they're about halfway used.

My husband and I use a combination of Trello and paper notebooks. He uses Trello mainly while I only use it for household items. I prefer the joy of writing with pens on paper. (I have really nice pens and notebooks that I love.)

I tried to get into bullet journaling but what ended up happening was that I just made a do-it-yourself planner, but that keeps me engaged enough to do it most weeks and follow it. I've been ridiculously successful with it the last month or so, getting tons of work done on good days and even a little bit of work done on not-so-great days.

I used to be very adverse to lists. I never understood the point. Why would I go through all the trouble of making a list if I was just going to forget to look at it? How could people manage a daily planner? But then I started carrying a notebook around with me everywhere. I had a backpack anyway, I might as well put something in it! So about a year ago I started carrying one. Drs? Notebook. Library? Notebook. Church? Notebook. My whole life is spread across a few of them, sure. And I now have a stupid assortment of pens from trying all the latest and greatest styles available, also sure. But I'm getting stuff done, and remembering important events. I don't look at it every day, but I'm like "oh yeah, on Monday I wanted to do the laundry today!" so I do the laundry. A tool is only as helpful as you make it, and I think I'm finally getting the point.

I use [these Papermate Gel pens]( https://www.amazon.com/Paper-Mate-Retractable-Assorted-1951636/dp/B019QBOG3U/ref=sr_1_3?crid=12KDA8HXNFHPA&keywords=papermate+gel+pens+0.7&qid=1563355919&s=gateway&sprefix=paper+mate+gel+%2Caps%2C236&sr=8-3 ). They don't bleed through, they dry relatively fast, and they don't smudge when colored over with markets. Oh and they write super smooth.
