I just use normal sized pillows, between my thighs, against my back to lean against, and one to hug/lean forward against. I like the normal pillows bc they're easy to configure in different ways depending on any aches or pains I'm feeling.

I also got this foam pad to put on top of my mattress bc we have a super firm mattress, and sleeping on my side was really hurting my hips and shoulders. It doesn't look like much, but that pad helped soooo much. I sleep much more soundly now, and I've even been having less nightmares and waking up on my back less. Plus it's only a bit more than half the width of a double mattress, so my husband can still have his firm mattress while my side is softer.

Well, depending on how much you want to spend, there are a few options.

Legitimate acoustic foam might be outside of your price range, but that would be the best choice if you want serious sound-dampening. This is just an example website. I imagine there may be a music equipment store near you that would either stock the stuff, or be able to direct you to a local supplier if you don't want to buy online.

Second, mattress toppers! They work pretty well, and you could—if you're okay with how fucking gross they may be—pick some up second-hand, or just order some online/buy new stuff at a discount shop.

Another option may be to procure some paper egg cartons, preferably the 24-egg type. They baffle sound quite well, and you might even be able to take used cartons from restaurants or hotel kitchens, if you ask nicely. Just staple that shit to the walls, and you've got yourself a free sound-proof(ish) studio space.

Hope that helps.
