Those specs are sub-par at best, and an absolute scam at worst. 8GB of RAM and 1TB of HDD for a $1700 machine?! There should be at least 16GB and an SSD for the OS at that price point.

In just 5 minutes I threw together an equivalent PC on Amazon for about half the price ($890: mobo, ram, gpu, cpu, hdd, display, mouse + keyboard, case.

Now how about you take a look at a PC with a similar price point? ($1680 : mobo, ram, gpu, cpu, ssd, hdd, same display, same mouse + keyboard, same case)

I've recently picked up the 27' Philips 4k monitor. It's going on Amazon right now for $280, it's very entry level but it gets the job done and looks great.

I have it as a combo use for work/gaming and have been loving it

The 58 does not have a height adjustable stand, is significantly less accurate than the good models I recommend, and the 58 uses a perceived black depth ruining glossy black bezel. Dark content will look awful If you try to view a 58 the same way as a TN, especially if the brightness is cranked in a dimly lit room. I link to my articles and videos about how to best view AHVA/IPS/PLS in every buying guide:

If you want to save money the Philips 276E8VJSB is even cheaper and competes with the 500$ monitors

Ive got the Philips 276E8VJSB, 10bit colour which looks really nice with my photos, IPS, and it’s even 4K for $275. Bought it about a month ago and was quite skeptical at first because it was at the lower price end for 4K but it’s been really good so far with no issues. Even though you said 2K would be your max its under $350 so I thought I’d mention it?

If you really don’t want 4K there’s a 1440 version as well, the Philips 276E8FJAB, but my friend has a 1440 monitor and the difference in quality between 1440 and my 4K monitor is definitely massively noticeable.

If your budget is 300$ you could easily get a decent 4k monitor like this Philips here, but if you don't need all that horsepower as your secondary monitor this Acer would be a good option. :)

1)I find that pcpartpicker isn't that good at displaying all monitors, look on Amazon or Newegg.

2) Both are fine, look at the actual ppi

3) Displaying 4K isn't that demanding, however gaming is another story.

I recommend this one, it has great colour accuracy but isn't that budget.

At this price range the offerings are pretty similar, so you will most likely not go wrong with either one.

I'm currently using this one from Philips and have been very happy with it. Since mine is out in the open it is also nice that it's a little less "gaming" in the design, though that might not matter for you
