  1. Amnesty. Between the elections of 1984 and 1988, President Reagan signed The Immigration Reform and Control Act - Amnesty for at least 2.7 million illegals. As you can see, the Republican party lost percentage of the Hispanic vote. Possibly from diluting the Cuban immigrant population with Democrat-leaning Mexicans. Amnesty the second wrong after an person trespasses into the country - which does not make it right. It is rancid both morally and electorally.

  2. As long as we can keep them away from third parties. I have looked at third parties, and can honestly say they are a protest vote. You are better off finding a way through one of the two parties - which is actively being pursued by well-organized Libertarian groups. We can have protest votes from within the parties, people.

  3. Honestly? There are two ways this can go. A: ACA fails and Dems get single payer. original report B: ACA is shut down and we do not get single payer, but revert back to our painfully regulated and corrupt system. Also this from r/Bestof. We need massive reforms, but Single Payer is going to be the death-knell of the Dems - and a slow drip of poison for America if it gets through. Republicans should support deregulating and opening the healthcare market. It only makes sense for Republicans to fight the ACA on principle every step of the way. We gain a stronger base and a platform to speak on. We gain voters angry against moderate RINOs.

The Democrats rely on the same tactics, so we know they work.
