you could... but espresso does have a very intense flavor. If I were you, I'd try this with Starbucks before investing in espresso machine.
Secondly, I recommend the little stovetop makers if you go that route. Much cheaper than the electric makers and super easy to use. example of coffee maker. You can find them for $10 at marshall's/ross/home goods.
