Thank you so much! I used Prismacolor Premier ebony graphite sketching pencils. I bought a couple of them on a whim the day before I started this portrait knowing I wanted a lot of contrast and they were awesome. They're the smoothest graphite I've used so it was incredibly easy to blend. I seriously can't recommend them enough. You can get a dozen for about $9 here.
