1.Brand New custom designed unit which allows you to 'Upgrade' the Official Sony Network Adaptor (which is an IDE connection) and replace it with a SATA upgrade board.

2.This will therefore allow you to use your original Sony Network Adaptor with Network Support on a SATA hard-drive.

3.Perfect for running Free Mcboot (FMCB) and using a program such as HD-Loader or OPL in conjunction with your own SATA hard-drive.

4.Please Note: Others sell brand new SATA adaptors for the PS2 but these DO NOT have network support.

5.The only way to get network support AND have SATA connectivity is to purchase the original Sony adaptor and this upgrade kit!

It's pretty simple to do the mod, it takes literally 5 minutes. Maybe 10 if you already have a few beers in you lol. You'll need this: https://www.amazon.com/Network-Adapter-Upgrade-Official-Adaptor-Android/dp/B07H7R3XDY/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=ps2+sata&qid=1568416144&sr=8-7

You just open up the network adapter, remove the old IDE board (1 ribbon cable), plug in the new SATA board, and put it back together (minus the bottom metal shield which won't fit because it is punched for the IDE connectors)

And yes, FMCB is just the exploit that allows you to run OPL/uLE/SMC/whatever off the hard drive. Again using that install method I showed you, it's not *required* to use the memory card, it just makes it faster. OPL can create virtual memory cards on the hard drive, so a physical card isn't required for that either, but FYI it is not recommended to use your FMCB card for games. If you want a physical card to save on, get a second.
