And

Is what I have for mine. I’ve got the same com as you but with 16GB RAM. I can play the Tomb Raider games.

For the graphics card, there’s an RX590 now so might wanna look into that.

However there are smaller chassis available too.

This one appears to be smaller overall vs the Core X.

This one is super small. Very portable but my friend, and others, have been experiencing technical issues with the hardware. Also hard to upgrade as you have to look for mini cards.

Contrary to what other have recommended, I wouldn’t recommend the Blackmagic ones you see on the Apple Store website as you can’t change the cards in those.

Ok, so heres my recommendation.

Consider a Razer Blade Stealth, https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-Stealth-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B07L31JP62?th=1 , with a external GPU, The Razer CoreX Chroma https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Core-Thunderbolt-External-Enclosure/dp/B07Q78VMPW?th=1. This allows you to not only hook up a drawing tablet, but also allows you to upgrade the GPU down the line. The Chroma version has a 4 port USB 3.1 hub on the back of it, so you can plug in the USB cord for the tablets touch function and also setup any external drives you may end up buying. And they would all connect to the Blade Stealth with a single cable. It will also charge the blade while its plugged in. This also leaves you with extra cash, roughly 600 usd, to get a good GPU, Tablet, and External storage. Id go with something like a 1660ti, and a Western digital 1tb portable drive, which would leave about 100 bucks left over for the tablet, but you planned to get that later down the line, so it would be an advance on that budget.

So basically, you take the laptop out and about and when you come back home, you plug in one cable and youll instantly have a drawing monitor, external GPU, and any other USB devices connected to the laptop. Personally, I would just hook up a keyboard, mouse, external harddrive, and Tablet to the chroma and have a full desktop experience with a single cable.

The only downside is that it will take up space. It wont be in the same footprint as a laptop alone, but has far more function and will last you longer, as it gives you several of the advantages of a desktop (Upgradable GPU, expandable storage, Fullsize Keyboard and mouse) while still letting you take the laptop itself out on the go.

Edit: Note, the 13.3 inch display on the blade is a bit small, but the configuration above will let you hook up any monitor youd like, something that could easily be purchased with the remaining 100usd. You would only have to use the laptop display when you are away from your desk.
