So, I know this is against everything they say about fine hair, but I keep it long (below the best/middle back) with long layers and a medium/long bang. Why? The potential for cool up-do's. I can whip my hair up into a nifty bohemian-but-good-for-work thing in about 5 minutes.

Otherwise, I use these for curls. I let them cool ALL THE WAY before taking them out. The clip keeps the heat in longer, and the curls lasted after being slept on (which NEVER HAPPENED NO MATTER WHAT I DID).

I use little to no product, and I use Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo/Conditioner or J.R. Liggett (normal) depending on which stage of frustrating my hair is in.

Long hair allows for cool stuff, or sleek stuff, and with my long, thin hair I'm able to do a lot of the stuff Carah Amelie features in her hair videos, especially the rocker tutorial. Her hair is thicker than mine, but growing my hair out very long has helped with hair versatility in hair do's, but not necessarily volume...

Also, these and bobby pins are my best friend.

I've also found that my limp/fine hair holds red colors better than other hair types, so that may be a plus!
