The IP comes in various models (and also versions of most models).
The LUX60 comes in a version 2 and 3--don't know if they're different from each other, but they're different in various ways from the DUO's including the two new DUO-Plus and DUO-Ultra.

This pic may be of the underside of the lid of version 3 and your pot/lid may be version 2 since it's older and doesn't look quite the same:

And this is from amazon, though one person there said they used only the silicone cap/seal part since using the whole metal part (float valve) was a bit too long? Don't know if that's true though:

The silicone cap on the float valve is essential to act as a seal for the float valve. Otherwise steam would just keep leaking out there and pressure would never be achieved.
(Otoh, the metal "cages" that some units have to fit over both valves on the underside of the lid aren't essential, and aren't even used on some of the models/versions.)
