I've used Ringke Fusion cases for my last few devices. It's pretty solid. Only problem I have with the Note 9 case is that the edges are too sharp (Fusion cases for my other phones did not have this).

I am actually about to post a video reviewing cases for the Note 9. I basically buy every single case on Amazon and test them. For the Note 8, I like the Supcase Beetle with the hard plastic sides. It was awesome. I dropped my phone a bunch last year and it is fine.

The reason I liked it was that it had raised corners so that if you set the phone down flat the screen is raised a good bit above the ground. It also had sides that came up even with the screen. You could still use the edge, but it was tall enough that nothing was sneaking in to hit the edge on most drops.

This year, SUPCASE made a great case in the Beetle, but it was not my favorite becuase they only made the version with rubber and the rubber is super slippery.

I hated the Ringke Fusion last year, but this year it crushed it. And it's $9.99. It feels great in the hand and raises the edges as high as any case but the SUPCASE. GhostTek was decent too.

Basically though, Verizon is a ripoff. 25% off of a case at Verizon is probably still 35-45% too high. Every accessory at Verizon is priced ridiculously and Verizon makes their money there like movie theaters make money on suckers buying concessions. Further Otterbox kind of became the Apple of smartphone cases. They were great in 2012, but have steadily raised prices, lowered quality and lost their cache, but can still charge a premium to people who are used to buying them from that 2012 cache.

In my opinion if you are paying over $20 for a case you are doing it wrong. Only one MAYBE might be the RhinoShield, but I didn't get to test that one because it's not out yet.

Hell, this was my third favorite case: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FYDX6RT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
