Ryan North is a bona fide amazing dude. He's also made:

This isn't really related to any of the books/authors you mentioned but To Be Or Not To Be: A Chooseable Path Adventure is really fun. The same author also wrote Romeo and/or Juliet.

I thought those might be fun while you're recovering because they're like a book and game all in one, and they're very light-hearted.
