It may be too soon as you haven't pulled the plug... Look into ProStar on Amazon. That is the name for the US model I bought. Essentially, a Clevo p650HS-G with i7-770HQ, gtx 1070, 512gb SSD , 1TB 7200rpm hdd, 16GB ram, and 120hz g-sync screen . lots of other tidbits too.
I paid 1700 and have been very very pleased. It will be hard letting your alienware go but I think once you settle in with a new model, you'll be extra grateful for that time that you were led to it. Stay strong man. Most people don't get five years . lots of love and levels await you.

Have you any any experience with this laptop or the company. Seems very similar to the one you suggested just with a 1070 but the price is a good deal less

Right now the main factor I have between all the ones on my list so far is whether
NVME vs sata ssd storage
gtx 1070 vs 1060 vs 1070 max-q
Haven't bought a labtop this pricey so I want to make sure I have one that will not become obsolete too quickly I guess.
A laptop that combines gaming capabilities and office looks is hard to find, for video editing i would suggest a combination of SSD + HDD for space, the aero and XPS are great options but don't have the possibility of adding another hdd, keeping that in mind i made this noteb search. In your budget you can go for a 1070 GPU, I know it's overkill now but if you can afford it - it's best for the future - that is why I recommend you the Clevo P650HS - great display 16.7M colors, 120Hz, 5ms response time, 90% sRGB, I7-7700HQ, GTX 1070, SSD + HDD, aluminium chassis and the cherry on top - it doesn't look like a gaming laptop.
