>Just got this setup today. Works great once everything is ironed out. Some issues I ran into was the box not being detected. To fix that I just downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia. Then the performance was choppy once I got it running but disabling the onboard gpu fixed that. Lastly my peripherals were acting all wonky when I had them connected to my box. I plugged them all in to a usb hub and connected that to the usb c on the laptop. I headset was still a little wonky after I did that so I just plugged that in the USB port on the laptop. Now every works great. I am able to run CS:GO at 1920:1080 at around 120-140 fps. Apex legends also runs pretty smoothly at the same resolution the average fps was about 70 with lows at the 40 range and highs in the 100 range. Overall satisfied with this setup.

Hey, I really interested in doing a setup close to yours. I'm an incoming college freshman and I'm looking at the Matebook x pros and they are unbelievable. Should I go for the 2018 or 2019 edition? I really want to get a eGPU so I'll be able to game in college. I'm most likely going to get a monitor what's the exact model of yours called and everything in your setup called? Really interested in doing something close to yours and your setup looks fantastic. If you were in my situation what should I go for I really like the Aorus gaming boxes and I'd get either the 1070,1080 or the 2070. Thanks for the help and what other accessories would I need for the laptop so I can get the full experience? I'm looking at wireless mouses and headsets and I could use those with a nice keyboard and monitor. Also, I can't forget the USB Hub and the USB C to DisplayPort cable for the 60 Hz. I'm also considering getting two monitors unless you think I'd be fine with just one and using the laptop as a second display would I need one of these? https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Thunderbolt-DisplayPort-Supports-TH-3DP2/dp/B079JJ2MTR?th=1 I saw it on someone's review but I'm unsure of what accessories I need and what I should for my situation considering I want a eGPU and a great college experience. I'm looking forward to your feedback and thank you for pushing me toward the right path.

EDIT: What headset do you run is that the steelseries pros? I just bought the 7s and kind of regret not getting the pro ones, but they haven't even came in yet so we'll see how I like them.

You could output to two monitors with an HDMI and a Thunderbolt 3. On the other hand, using this is probably easier:

The MBX should be able to run HDMI and USB-C passthrough power at the same time.
