These days you can get the black 2016 version for about the same price, and for many people it's going to offer the better experience.

Sure, I bought this headset on Amazon. It's okay if it's refurbished because you only need the lenses. Then I printed the newest version of these adapters in black plastic. Once I got those parts, the lenses for both the vive and the gear vr can be popped out with a butter knife, so it's not a permanent mod to your Vive. To get the vive lenses out you just wedge in between the plastic and lenses on the flat part inside the vive, don't even need to move anything. Once I did all that, it was seriously a night and day difference. Here's some comparison pictures! Ignore the black lines, that's just the cross scan and only shows up in photos.
