And there are many many valid options for the case, many cheaper than the R5 (but that's a good one).
A the price for a GB of a 1 TB SSD is almost the same as the price for a GB of a 512 GB SSD.
I would ask the teacher how he would generate 2705 scam 5 star ratings on Amazon for this SSD

Do the maths, I can buy 4 roughly 1TB HDD's for the price of 1 1TB SSD, this by the way is from the same fucking manufacturer. What is wrong with you? Claiming I'm ignorant for fucks sake.
You can't argue with the maths, so stop trying.
basically I was looking at these, M2 ssd and 1tb SSD
Apologies for not being clear.

select the one sold by amazon.
(Price for new items , in GBP):
I can find them from 200 up to 400 but there are also many good ones in between there too. Like this one
I dunno if it's a good idea to buy SSD used, but I wouldn't.. There might be cheaper retailers than Amazon too but I'm not all too sure about that.
Thanks, you guys are the best. How about this for the ssd:

Well at this price i think it's quite the bargain and it has a very solid performance. the samsung evo 850 ssd is slightly faster but isn't on sale at the moment.
That must be MSRP or something. The gap I see is usually £5-10 between any of the models.
EG, OCZ Trion 100 960GB is £222, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB is £224
Even on a hardware site (though Overclockers.co.uk are a little price-gougey anyway) BX200 is £229, 850 Evo is £249
ok i wait for black friday
but what is the difference between this 2 samsung SDD?

That is a great peace of SSD. It's 2.5 inch vertion is only £30 cheaper atm with a deal on.
Being a Linux nut I'm running all different OSs at a time. I currently have about a dozen that I use. I keep them all to 250GB and I move the partitions around and on and off external HDDs. Masses of duplication. Its the reason I need the DVD to keep all my distros on.
I've not had an SSD before (besides USB sticks). The 2.5 inch could well be a later upgrade/addition. I can always do with more storage!
What do you mean by "better"? If you mean faster, then almost any SSD will be faster, and something like the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB is a solid choice. However, if you mean faster with the same capacity, I don't know if you're going to find a 1TB SSD for under £250, let alone £100. You can get a hybrid drive, like the Toshiba H200, which under certain circumstances will perform better than a non-hybrid HDD.
If you are willing to spend the money, then the Samsung 850 EVO 1TB is a good option in my experience. I have several of these running 24/7 and haven't had a problem yet.
