> AMD RX 570 is the best "budget" option for your CPU (equivalent to Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB while costing less)
Did you mean 6GB? That's what I was looking at.
I have no experience with non-Nvidia cards and I (wrongly) dismissed the AMD cards. The RX 570 I'm seeing is significantly cheaper, 110$ less. A quick look gives me the impression that the 1060 6GB is better than the RX 570 8GB, but maybe not worth the price difference.
In fact, even a RX 580 4GB is still 60$ less, and again a quick search shows a similar performance to the 1060, albeit with 2GB less memory.
I'm now unclear as to what would be the better choice:
> Nvidia GTX 1070 (Ti)
What I find is well above 500$, which is impossible for me.
The US 4GB version of this card is actually only $10 USD cheaper at Amazon:

However, the 8GB version is $10 USD cheaper than the 4GB card above:

In Canada though, price difference between the 2 cards is around $50-$70. Not worth that extra amount depending on what your goal is for a setup.

I had a friend tell me I should have waited, since NVIDIA's new cards are launching soon but that's no guarantee of any price drops on their mid-range stuff. Even if the price drops on a 1060, likely only be $50 here in Canada.
Probably same for the 580, I expect the price difference between 4GB and 8GB to always be in that $50 gap.
