they should be fine if you're just running it once or twice, but running anything longer than a 400 in sprint spikes will wreak havoc on your calves. the plastic plate on the sole forces you to stay up on your toes, which shreds those calf muscles if you aren't used to toe running (they still do if you do usually have a forefoot strike, it just isn't as bad). it looks like the plate on your spikes isn't as crazy as some i've seen, but still expect to be sore the day after. tl;dr: there's nothing wrong with using them for the 800 as long as you're fine with being crazy sore the day after

if you're planning on being a regular in the 800, i'd suggest finding some cheaper, maybe year-old models of mid-distance spikes. it'll save you a lot of muscle soreness, as well as maybe improve your times by a second or two. the saucony endorphin md4 is the lightest mid-distance spike out there as far as i know, and it's relatively cheap for such a great spike
