I've been hunting around for a similar spec monitor the last few days, nothing has really stood out as a definitive best choice but here's a few I'm considering. If anyone has any experience with any of these or recommendations let me know.

Sceptre C248B-144R - 1080p/144hz 24in Curved VA

LG 24GL600F-B - 1080p/144hz 24in Flat TN

Acer ED273 Abidpx - 1080p/144hz 27in Curved VA

LG 27GL650F-B - 1080p/144hz 27in IPS

Dell S2719dgf - 1440p/155hz 27in Flat TN

With a 580 you might want to look at a slightly more expensive 144hz 1080p freesync monitor, some can be found for around $150 to $180, for example:

Sceptre C248B-144R 24-Inch Curved 144Hz Gaming Monitor AMD FreeSyncTM HDMI DisplayPort DVI, Metal Black 2018 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GG8RVXP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kYuSBb7P9FPDX

You would get a great gaming experience this way, but if you’re on a budget the monitor you linked is great for the price.

Nvenc Streaming PC

  • High Settings 1080p
  • Apex Legends: 134fps
  • Fortnite: 127fps
  • Overwatch: 178fps
  • Battlefield V: 130fps
  • CSGO: 268fps
  • Assassin's Creed Odyssey (proxy for the most demanding games): 80fps
  • Full benchmarks
  • Streaming fps:
  • Nvenc (gpu) encoding will reduce FPS by about 16% in Fortnite, and up to about ~25% in some other games.
  • This is much better than x264 (cpu) encoding which loses a significantly higher percentage of fps as you can see from the link above.
  • All Nvidia cards from the Pascal and Turing series (10XX and 20XX) have dedicated Nvenc encoding modules. All cards from the same generation have the same encoding power.
  • Windows 10:
  • Use Microsoft's Windows 10 creation tool to get free unactivated Windows 10.
  • The only downside is a watermark in the bottom corner of your screen (and it won't show up on stream).
  • You can always activate windows later if you choose.

    Explanation of Part Choices

  • CPU: Best value cpu in the mid range. Comes with a good stock cooler that is strong enough for a mild overclock. Overclocking allows your cpu to run faster than its factory clock speed, enabling you to get a bit of extra performance. This will increase temperatures and voltage requirements, so heavy overclocking requires an aftermarket cpu cooler and a motherboard with good voltage regulator modules (VRMs).
  • Motherboard: One of the best entry-level motherboards. Has 2 fan headers and VRMs that are strong enough for a respectable overclock on the 2600, especially with the airflow this case will have. See the AMD VRMs tier list.
  • Memory: 3000mhz is the price/performance sweet spot for Ryzen cpus. 16GB standard.
  • Storage: Standard Choices. SSD has a dram cache which is important for the lifespan and speed of the OS drive. It is an nvme drive which is faster than standard SATA SSDs, and it is currently cheaper than SATA SSDs. 5 year warranty.
  • Video Card: Strongest that fits the budget. I chose the cheapest standard sized card.
  • Case: Most popular microATX case. Has a side window, magnetic dust filters, and comes with one exhaust fan. I've added one high-quality intake fan (pressure optimized to pull air through the filters) to ensure good airflow.
  • Power Supply: 7 year warranty. 550W is more than enough for this 269W system while still leaving plenty of room for overclocking. Modular for easier cable management. 80+ gold efficiency.
  • Monitor Suggestion:
  • 144hz 24" Sceptre curved monitor: This is the cheapest 144hz 1ms monitor that has a large sample size of good reviews. You want 144hz because of all of the shooters you are playing.
  • Display Port Cable: You need one of these or a dvi cable in order to get 144hz to the monitor. HDMI won't work.

What about this Sceptre C248B-144R?

The only ViewSonic in my price range is this one. Only 75Hz, but otherwise seems fine.

u/thejessedurden · 2 pointsr/Monitors

This monitor gets good reviews and has the best price I've seen in that category: https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-C248B-144R-24-Inch-FreeSyncTM-DisplayPort/dp/B07GG8RVXP/

What's the difference from this, besides being $20 cheaper? The only thing I see is the one for $179 says LED-lit. From what I just looked up it is probably worth the extra $20(?)

You sure you dont want a 1080p 144hz? You'll probably get around 120fps at 1080p but 1440p a bit lower.

I'd go with used or refurbished on that budget, try Offer Up, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslits or Ebay. If you can extend you budget a lil bit, check out the Acer XFA240 (Has G-Sync for your GTX card), Sceptre C248B-144R or the 27" Dell Gaming LED-Lit Monitor 27" Black (D2719HGF)

I would honestly pay the extra $10 for the sceptre. You get a nicer looking monitor and VESA compatibility:

If money is tight there's a sweet 1080 144hz curved monitor on Amazon for $180

Sceptre C248B-144R 24-Inch Curved 144Hz Gaming Monitor AMD FreeSyncTM HDMI DisplayPort DVI, Metal Black 2018 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GG8RVXP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8G0BCb5Z72T8T

Edit: I'm still building my setup and this is the monitor I'm buying. I did a lot of research and it's definitely a solid purchase. After a lot of reading, 4K is cool if you have a $2,000 PC and are willing to fork over another grand for a high hz monitor.

At 24in 1080p 144hz is a sweet spot for price for performance.

i Bought this one a few months back, not cheaper than the one here, but from not knowing the company, I love the price they set compared to other competitors.

u/Jordan1719 · 1 pointr/FortniteCompetitive

Lol accidentally deleted my response, but sorry for the late response. Here's the build I came up with. This will be good for fortnite and other daily tasks you would normally do on a computer. It's similar to what I have now just some different brands and a better SSD. Its also good enough to run most AAA titles on pretty good settings too if you want to play some other titles in the future. You can find a different case if you want because most of them are pretty affordable and you can find one in any color you want. Just make sure it's at least a midtower so it'll fit your motherboard. You'll still need a 144hz monitor which will run you about $200 here's the one I use. Then you'll just need a mouse and keyboard. I recommend for a good budget mechanical keyboard the K552 as for the mouse just find one that you like which should be less than $50 unless you go with a newer one I recommend a logitech mouse or a razer. Like I said before I would go to a microcenter if you have one near you because odds are you'll be able to find some cheaper prices than whats listed on pcpartpicker. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've been plugging this monitor lately. reviews are nice and mine is on the way. Once i get a good feel for it I can give an honest opinion. Reviews so far have been pretty good though

u/SoLaR_27 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Are you in the US? This one has good reviews for $200 and has Freesync (G-Sync compatible). This Sceptre monitor also has good reviews for $180, is 144Hz, and is even curved, but some customers have said that they come with a few dead pixels. Amazon's return policy is pretty good, so you might want to try your luck. Here are a few others that you might also want to consider: Dell D2719HGF,Asus VG278Q, AOC G2590FX, and Acer ED273.

EDIT: These are all 1080p.

I highly recommend getting something like the new Sceptre C248B-144R 24-Inch Curved 144Hz Gaming Monitor AMD FreeSyncTM HDMI DisplayPort DVI, Metal Black 2018 which has the same specs as you want but is also $10 cheaper than the Acer - ED242QR Abidpx 23.6" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor, has a much more minimal design + stand and it's 0.4 inches larger! 😉

Combine this with a UHD 4K HDMI Cable like this one and you'll have an awesome and affordable gaming setup!

Cheers,

Spike
