If you don't NEED headphones I HIGHLY recommend these in ear earbuds https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Momentum-Ear-iOS-version/dp/B00N3RFFZ2/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1466753137&sr=1-4&keywords=sennheiser (there is an android version) The quality is absolutely stunning, also It's portable when going to work/school or just doing some gardening idk. Good luck finding one mate! (Sennheiser products are usually not too bad. look around a bit)

  • Budget - <$100
  • Source - Plugging them into my phone, iPod, and PS4
  • Requirements for Isolation - Not really an issue to be honest. All of the in ear buds that I have used before have worked fine for sound isolation.
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - Yes
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - IEM. I want to use these for my PS4 among other things so having a mic is a must.
  • Preferred tonal balance - Leaning more towards bass.
  • Past headphones - I have an Audio Technica M50X, a Sennheiser HD 429S, and used to have some Monster Jamz In Ear.
  • Preferred Music - Drumstep, Trap, Rap, Deathcore, and Future Funk are most of the genres that I listen to nowadays.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I just honestly need want some earbuds that sound good and have a mic so I don't have to use the crappy one Sony gave me with my Playstation.
  • Location - US

Hey guys. I'm looking to get some in ear buds for listening to music and to use on my PS4 so I would like to have a mic with it. The ones that I was looking at were the Sennheiser Momentum In Ear, but I don't know how good they are compared to other earbuds. Do you guys think I would be good with these? What type of earbuds would you suggest for me?

There are some really high end studio quality earbuds made by, say, Sennheiser (this) but I generally go for something made by Creative or Sony with some 30-40-something price tag.

Budget - 60~ dollars
Source - My laptop and galaxy s5 (soon upgrading to something better lg g5 or s7/s8(when released )

Have you looked into the Sennheiser Momentum IEMs? They're about $100 and have in-line volume control. I've heard good things about them, but haven't tried them. Official website link

u/Bobeu · 1 pointr/headphones

I need a pair of IEMs for use outside of the house.

Budget: ~120 CAD. That's 92 USD. Budget is somewhat flexible.

Source: iPod Touch 5th Generation, Nexus 5, occasionally my computer.

Requirements for Isolations: Lots.

Public Usage?: They will be used almost exclusively in public.

Type of Headphone: IEM

Tonal Balance: Neutral

Past Headphones: Sennheiser CX 2.00, Sennehiser HD360, Sennhsier HD449, Sennheiser HD558 (The headphones I use at home currently)

Preferred Music: I listen to basically everything, from classical to punk rock, with the exception of pop country.

Location: Canada

I've been looking at the Massdrop for the HiFiMAN Re-00 and from what I can tell that's my first choice as of right now. I'm slightly nervous about the build quality, although considering that they improved the cable and they come with a case I think they're probably find (although please correct me if i'm wrong).

I'm curious about the Sennheiser Momentum In Ear, but don't know much about them so if anyone could tell me their tonal balance and whether you think they're any good or not that would be great.

I'm also curious about the Zero Audio ZH-DX200-CT. There was a thread talking about how great they are , but similar to the momentum's know nothing about them. So if anyone could tell me their tonal balance as well as any information about them that would be great!

If there are any IEM's that I've missed and you would recommend I'd love to know, but if not I just would like to know which of the three above you would recommend the most.

Also just in case I go with the RE-00 which cheap temporary pair of IEMs should I get until they're delivered. The JVC HAFX40B High Quality In-Ear Headphones or the Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbud Headphones RP-HJE120-K ?

Amazon has a similar offer for the black red version of the iOS model here.

Which of the choices are better? Sennheiser or TaoTronics and TaoTronics or Shure? Looking for earbuds with mic for a college student who casual games.
