Get the Skull And Co Joycon joystick grips. I have them and they're amazing. Really makes a big difference in the range of motion plus I like the look of them.

Get some stick covers and make them not weird again.
You could try those analog caps. I don't think it's a design flaw as much as a decision to streamline the design of a tiny controller.
And if you do want a "serious gaming" experience then you should get a Pro Controller, that's why it's available.
