Thank you. Pulled straight off my Sony HDRAS100 Action Cam. I put some compression on the audio so it was headphone friendly but I did nothing to the image. I've been very impressed with both the image sabilization and the image quality in general.
A friend is a professional photographer, and she recommends Sony for the action camera market. GoPro makes a solid product of course, but she contends it's mostly a matter of marketing like Beats headphones - which are good headphones but at their price point you can get a better product for cheaper.
The Sony Action Cam AS100V is on my to-buy list.

I personally have a Hero3 I won five years ago in a video contest, Crosstour Action Camera I use for my rear on my commuter (when I remember to charge it). And for my race bike I have my Fly6(ce), but I will use it on my commuter if I forget to charge my other rear camera.
Here is a list of common ones:
Inexpensive (< $100)
Mid Range ($100-250)
High End ($250+)
I've installed Sony HDR ASV100 cameras in the club and their image sensor is so good you don't need additional lighting. highly recommended
The model with the live remote is also at its lowest historical: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HDRAS100V-Video-Camera-White/dp/B00HNJWSH4/. However, the general consensus is the remote stinks and your phone with app is a better option.
I just bought 20 of these (for a ridiculous underwater wedding in January) and there is still stock. I've been looking for a cam with better low light than the Go Pro, with image stabilization and less fish-eye. After spending the last month asking online, this is the answer.
Just the Sony Action Cam, which has built in stabilization.
It depends on the purpose. For FPV the GoPro camera is well suited but for an action cam with the best image quality is this one. Little bit cheaper than GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. But you really can use this one for fpv.
