It does add a noticeable amount of bulk to the watch and at times could pinch the skin on the top of my wrist. They were only around $15 when I purchased them but the seem to have gone up since then. I eventually got tired of messing with them and stopped wearing them. YMMV but I honestly can't recommend this product unless you find it cheaper maybe or find it in a store to try out first. Sorry I don't have any recommendations for a screen protector. Good luck!
I could be completely wrong here, but the case in the photo appears to be the [Speck](Speck Products CandyShell Fit Case for Apple Watch 42mm, Black/Slate Grey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XEGT3GY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-h5ezbXVZFSPS) case. I have both, but I'm pretty sure the one in your photos is Speck, not Spigen.
(Not trying to be abrasive, just pointing it out.)
