I'm using this case, it's quite firm to squeeze for me. Maybe the rigidness of the plastic shell of the otter box helps re-disperse the force more evenly and applies pressure better than mine? Or simply different devices might have slight discrepancies between sensors? On my device, it's either extremely low pressure readings or it maxes out and temporarily locks out, there wasn't any middle ground.

Either way, I think I'll stick to my bixby remap for now.

I generally dislike the look of most phone cases, but I find modern phones too slippery and too thin, and corners too fragile if dropped even from small heights. Since the Galaxy S3 I've used the flexible "rubbery" cases - I used to go with clear ones, but since I now stick a magnet inside the case for quick car mounting, I've had to go to solid colors. I still avoid bulky cases or anything with giant brand names plastered on them.

I use this Spigen liquid case and it awesome.

It has saved my phone from many accidental drops. The grip is decent, it's lightweight and you can use it without a tempered glass too

I don't use screen protectors because the glass feels so much better. I always use a case though. Using this one and I love it.

I have a zutoben shell case. It's super thin, not the most protective, but the phone is about the same size with the case on. Another thin but more protective case is the spigen liquid air. It's not as thin as the zutoben but it still retains the phone shape well.

My everyday case is a Caseology Legion with a CardNinja Ultra-slim Self Adhesive Credit Card Wallet on the back. Comes up around the edges to protect it, good grip on the hand. It's a bit thick and with the card wallet it is not 100% compatible with the official Samsung round leather fast charger.
