Yeah i made the switch a few days ago, from a 6S+, i couldnt upgrade to a 7+ cause it was essentially the same phone with some minor tweaks. Bought the Regular S8 and am absolutely fucking blown away by every aspect of the phone. I did not opt out for the S8+ due to my hands being small and not being able to reach the sensor, although i dont use it much anyway, i usually click the home button and use a pattern anyway. Also another tip for those about to get an S8, make sure you get a "Case Friendly" screen protector, i got ghost armor and the case peeled it right off, so had to opt out for a different screen protector.

Its good, doesn't add much bulk but it won't offer much protection. I think I'm going to get a heavier duty case for travel/weekends.

Seemed okay but it didn't work with a case. Since i took the glass off I was able to test it a little and it was pretty scratch resistant. A box cutter and keys didn't scratch it.

Or S Clear view cover, but i can't find it anywhere plus it is too darn costly.

I bought an s8 last month after having the 6p for almost two years. I love it. Phone is snappier and the display is really nice. I bought [this case](https://www.amazon.ca/Galaxy-Samsung-Spigen-Rugged-Armor/dp/B06XNNJ4KM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502561272&sr=8- 1&keywords=spigen+rugged+armor+s8) from amazon and it makes the phone a lot less slippery without bulking up the phone. Biggest relief for me is having battery at the end of the day and the phone stays on all the way to 0%. Samsung does have bloatware but you can delete that stuff. The only thing I dont like as much and has been mentioned by others is the fingerprint reader. Its a tad small and I usually "miss" on my first attempt but other than that I am happy I upgraded.

I really like the spigen series of cases. I had one on my old phone and my new one for my s8 is coming tomorrow. They provide good protection and they are a good price. There's about 4 of them ranging from slimmer profile (the one I got) to a little bulkier one for added protection. I have also heard good things about the UAG series of cases.
