ok cool - well it has a bunch of varying heights....i only needed to go up less than an inch vs the stock stand. when i get home tonite i can measure and post the full range and max height it can go up to - around 6pm EST i should be able to get you an update. :)

EDIT: also a little background, my stock stand for the Panasonic plasma was not super stable, that's why i got this new stand. Best Buy installed the tv and stock stand with only 3 screws instead of four so it would wave around if i pushed on it...scary. This stand makes a huge difference, the tv sits perfectly still and rock solid when pushing on it. I actually have my center channel on an attached-to-top-of-tv shelf and this stand is stable enough that it is not affected (note my center is on the thinner/smaller side so this solution worked, and the shelf has weight limits etc. so your experience may vary). Top of TV shelf link, if this solution could also work for anyone:

Was in a similar situation. Picked up on of these.

Used a couple of small pieces of double sided tape on the sound bar for extra security. Not the most elegant design, but works well, and really don't notice the height after a while

Wow, those look perfect for my needs -- I'll google around, but if you have any links handy to similar brackets that you'd recommend, I'd really appreciate it. And thanks for the photo and info!

Quick edit: I found this, which doesn't seem to use the wall mounting brackets; I wonder if it'd shake the hell out of tv...

You have a few options that I see.

  1. You can mount the TV to the wall and then use the current stand for the sound bar.

  2. Mount the TV and soundbar to the wall.

  3. Get a TV stand to get the TV higher up and put the soundbar below it.

  4. Get a TV shelf and put the soundbar on it. You'll get better results having it lower most of the time but this could work.
