If you have a steam cleaner like this you may want to try that first, as it may help melt the sauce and make it easier to wipe away. Take care to not blast the leather, try to keep the steam concentrated on the sauce.
It's a bit better, in my opinion, to use moist heat to melt it than use heavy chemicals to cut through it, but what /u/Nariek recommended should be safe enough.
