If you want fucking awesome:

Arisaka light with the ST07 option and this (or) this

If you want awesome:

Surefire P2X Fury and this (the pressure switch is part of the light)

If you want affordable:

[Streamlight TLR1] (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00L4EHZYU/ref=psdcmw_2445457011_t2_B00B8Q31UQ)

No one sane puts out anything that demands the trigger do anything other than actuate the firing mechanism. Some insane people have tried to hook flashlights and lasers to the trigger, and were rightfully ripped a new one for attempting to do so.

What you're looking for instead are lights activated by either pressure pads you attach to your rails or foregrip, or a toggle switch cap attached to the back and within reach of your pistol grip.

> Hmm don't really have a budget. I guess I mean best bang for your buck.

Gotcha, u/JakesGunReviews mentioned the SF 6P-series light, that's what i was going to say. Generally decent 'budget' weapon lights for rifles don't have pressure switches, they usually have tail-caps you click to operate.

If you wanted to knock out two birds with one stone, you could always get a Streamlight TLR-1 with the long gun kit. You could use it for your AR and your pistol if you wanted.

I'm partial to a 300 Series Light from Arisaka Defense + a Surefire SR07 pressure switch. I have two of them, and i love them, they're durable little fuckers.

Link to product. You should be able to by the rear door and tape switch separately.

I’d personally skip the laser, imo they are really more a novelty. If you are training with your firearm and have the right setup you shouldn’t be relying on the laser to do the “aiming” for you.

That being said a light is highly recommended, especially if this is a home defense gun. You should always be able to ID what you are pointing your gun at. I have a streamlight TLR-1HD with the pressure switch, I like not having to move my grip in order to turn the light on/off. A newer up a comer in the market that everyone seems to love is Olight (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07RFS7YN7/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They have a really neat magnet charger that lets you keep it charging at all times, and can quick disconnect when you need it.

Best of luck OP, and great choice of firearm 😊

Thanks! You may know this, but that switch comes with mounting adapters on each end which mount to the rail, and then you put the switch in there. However, it raises the switch up about 1/4 higher off the side and I did not like the look. I drilled the mounting holes out and use MLOK screws to attach directly to the handguard to make it more flush.

It is momentary, but double-pressing it turns on the strobe mode. If you are holding your rifle, you can hold the switch on (at least I can).

I used to use a different light with a cap switch on/off and decided I liked the momentary instead simply due to the ergonomics of turning it on. The pressure switch is much more natural than using my finger to press the cap switch. I don't know who makes other lights with on/off switches.

The Streamlight does have a cap switch for the TLR series (standard), and you can either push it one direction for momentary, double tap it in that direction for strobe, or push it the other way for on (and stays on). If you install the remote switch, then the cap is swapped out and you lose that functionality.

One stop shopping: https://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-TLR-1-High-Lumen-Black/dp/B00L4EHZYU

Pistol one: https://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-69110-Weapon-Tactical-Flashlight/dp/B000JWD16E/

Tape switch is great. Press once for on, twice for strobe (if it has that), and there's an always on button.
