I have a great solution to your problem. I like bread. I just don't eat a lot of bread very quickly, so much goes to waste. About 20-25 years ago I bought my first bread machines. They were great in that they produced much better tasting fresh bread with crunchy crust and tenderly moist fresh alcohol yeasty smell that's simply unbeatable and uncomparable within minutes of being done vs. any factory product pre-sliced bread you'll find. All bread you buy at the store is really "day-old" bread if you didn't get it straight from their oven.
But the typical bread machine was too big for my needs. Still too much bread. Then about 8 years ago I found the perfect model for me: the West Bend Just-for-Dinner bread machine. This might sound like an ad or spam, but it's not. They don't even make this machine any more and it's hard to find. If you do find it, it will often be at an inflated price because those of us who know about it will pay extra to get one now. Why? Because it's much smaller than other bread machines. It makes one perfect little loaf in 45 minutes, for me it's not too big, not too small....it's just right.

The bread ingredients are ultra simple, but Trader Joe's carries quite a few bread machine mixes that are easy and ready to go.
The closest model bread maker that I can find is this Sunbeam model that's larger for $60 on sale as an Amazon choice item, but it should still be able to make a smaller loaf. I haven't tried it personally, obviously. The price is reasonable for what it is. Zojirushi makes a small bread maker but the price at $220 is a huge ripoff.
I never expected my little bread machine to become a rarity, but the only people who'll ever have a chance to buy it will be at my estate sale when I'm gone to the loaf pan 6 feet under.

haha, sorry - I got excited.
So this machine is just a standard bread machine. You usually put in ingredients for white/whole grain bread and turn it on and it will knead and bake you a loaf. Very cool.
BUT, there is a setting where you can just make "Dough" and it will automatically knead the dough. This is super useful. When I make pizza dough I let it run through the entire 1.5 hour cycle, but the tortillas I make don't need to rise.
So I just put in 1.5 cups of flour, .5 cup water, teaspoon salt, 2-3 tablespoons of lard (healthier than butter! and more delicious!) into the machine and press go. It will knead it and I'll stop it after 5 minutes and take it out. All that is left is to roll out tortillas and slap them onto a hot grill much like you'd do with pancakes. After 30 or so seconds on each side you have delicious tortillas :-)
TLDR; Bread machines are also kneading machines in disguise! Plop tortilla ingredients into them and let them knead the dough for you.
I've been trying to cut down on food costs and saving for this breadmaker. I don't know if that'd go over your spending limit, but I appreciate your gesture all the same.
Thanks for your time and generosity.
