I got the shelves for cheap off Amazon also.
A lot of people have recommended having the grow lights 12" from the plants, but after doing some research about the Sunblaster lights, the manufacturer actually recommends them being closer. These are what I use two of each about 15hrs a day. I wouldn't order the second from amazon, the lights ate great but amazon messed it up twice when I tried ordering another. These have put my plants through flower and they all seem to love them.
