Try these. They are Superlux knock offs of a Sennheiser pair of headphones and are supposed to be pretty indestructible. Here is a review of them compared to the actual Sennheisers and another set of on ear cans.

Measures very well and if you really want to piss off some students you can go for the pink version from TEAC which is even cheaper.

You will be plugging these headphones into an expandable amplifier rack?

If you have some people who prefer to have one free ear, check out the Superlux HD-562 a rather audacious copy of the legendary Sennheiser HD25 which is the industry standard for most professional TV crews in the field.

Love the HD-25's as well but the price tag is steep for me so i got these from Superlux with essentially the exact same design and performance. I watched and read a lot of reviews on these before buying and for under $30 i could not justify the Sennheisers.

If you want something similar to the ubiqutious Sennheiser HD-25's, a much cheaper alternative are the Superlux HD-562s. These are clones of the HD-25's so the design and sound are nearly identical, not a perfect copy but good enough for DJing. The best part is that they are only $30! I own a pair of these and I like them so far.

This review compares these two headphones along with a third one.
