I actually discovered Adam (the YMS guy) before I found RLM. Adam's YMS videos are his "Plinkett Reviews". I agree that Adam dives into plot inconsistencies a little too much but he does offer good critique of those films and likes to dive into production issues of movies. Most notably, he deconstructs the Walking Dead, After
EarthBirth, and World War Z and the Cool Cat review. Interestingly, the Cool Cat Review has lead to some drama with the film maker as he went on a "fair use tirade which Adam shut down in detailThe strength of Adam's channel comes from the smaller films that he reviews and the modest frequency at which he uploads. By no means is he a clickbait channel (ahem WatchMojo, Screen Junkies, Cinemasins ahem), he reviews popular movies as well as smaller indie films. He is a Vancouverite and I have chatted with him once or twice and he actually responds to you if you message him. A lot of people criticize him for copying RLM but he has really grown into his own style and his own sense of humor. As mentioned above, his reviews center around plot inconsistencies but he points out how they make the film weaker and how they fail to expand on certain characters/story arcs. His Synecdoche New York review is incredible and does an excellent job at going in depth with the film and I suggest that you all give it a look once you watch the movie (which is on sale for 6 bucks on amazon).
All in all, Adam's scope is different than RLM's, he genuinely cares about his work and his fans.
