Split screen is cute but:
Total is $778. Spend the rest on EA Pass, Game Pass, specific multiplayer games (not BF) and rechargable batteries (don't want to wait for a dock to charge). Overcooked, Jackbox, and similar simple games for "non gamers" are 500% more popular than a complicated game with nice graphics.
Also, don't forget serious players are likely to sign in and provide access to some of their games.
Just as a heads up, the "new" price is the same ($299 for the 49 inch model: https://www.amazon.com/TCL-49S305-49-Inch-1080p-Smart/dp/B01N6HNA8T/ ). I have no idea if there's any reason to prefer new over refurbished, or the other way around, but it might be useful to know there's no price difference.
Edit: It seems the new one comes with a 1-year warranty, vs. 90 days for the refurbished, so I'd recommend the new one.
