(It looks like there's a newer version of the second one, when I looked on amazon, but I found this one in the thrift store. Still very insightful.)

As for someone helping remind you, it's a toss up on whether or not that helps. It's been 50/50 for me. Sometimes it's done more damage since it felt like accusations or blaming or de-legitimizing m emotions at the time. It helps, but if you can do it on your own, and not have to put anyone in that position, I would recommend it. :)
