My ideas and thoughts are constantly challenged by hundreds of people each day, not including on Reddit.

Btw, when you're in the schooling system your ideas and thoughts are heavily surpressed just by how the system is made. I've discussed that very issue with a lot of teachers and a lot (at least 70%) of them agree (I've talked to more than 10 teachers about this). Ken Robinson (this guy http://www.amazon.com/Element-Finding-Passion-Changes-Everything/dp/0670020478 ) has a TEDTalk somewhere about the very issue on how school kills creativity (which is a part of your ideas and thoughts).

Now, I'm not saying you AREN'T challenged by your peers and your professors, but who the fuck are your peers and professors? You'll learn A LOT more from having your ideas and thoughts challenged by everyone rather than just a set group of people (like I said, your peers are the same compared to you... same school, same teacher[s]).

P.S. this is getting a bit off-topic from the OP, so let's try to steer it back or just drop this discussion [I can go further but would rather not].

25 years is not old, dude. Not in the slightest.

Don't compare your life to anyone else's.

The Church doesn't have a 'right' path that you are 'supposed' to follow, as far as career / educational development is concerned.

Life doesn't work that way.

Follow your heart, your brain, your curiosity, and your passion.

Don't spend another day worrying about how you thought things would have / should have / could have worked out.

Just embrace where you are now, and make today the best you can.

(Also, when I was in your shoes, I found some inspiration in 3 surprising sources:

Hi! I just wanted to say, you are not alone. I am currently undergoing something similar =/. I battle sever depression almost daily and sometimes 'suicidal ideation'. I am not too sure why I am so depressed constantly, and my current Councillor does not seem to help much in finding the cause.

Not too long ago, I was given Ken Robinson's book, The Element. It has changed my life around, and allowed me to cope with my 'stray thoughts'. Finding your element, is like finding that thing you do where you 'zone out' and loose track of time. 12 hours have passed but it only felt like 1.Maybe you just need to find your element. If you need any help finding yours or just want to talk, I am here for you.

Also, What are you passionate about?
