Software dev that has worked at many enterprise companies. I don't recommend you study any language or technology other than what you can't use right away. There is so much out there that is niche/obsolete/ever changing/saturated. I have studied so many things that I have never used and quickly forgot.

You need to study design concepts/dev methodologies/software architecture/design patterns/best practices.

Nothing beats working under a mentor.

Courses teach you what to think as a developer but you need to learn how to think as a developer.

If you are interested in architecture (in a java context), have a read of this book. https://www.amazon.com/Java-Architects-Handbook-Second-applications/dp/0972954880
