Want you know to know that I connect with your post so much. This thread is 99% frustratingly useless, but there are some good pieces of content within.

OP is actually one of the better ones. He actually laid out a technique: write 3 things, large or small, that you are grateful for every day for 30 days. That's an actionable plan that you could implement immediately.

So many posters on this thread are either ESL speakers or have deep troubles with grammar and syntax and it makes their writing unintelligible. There was that French guy a while ago who had a good technique, but struggled to write it in coherent English. I think that's what leads me to frustration with this thread, and many others on Reddit as well.

Gonna take a crack at deciphering why gratitude may work by bastardizing some Abraham Hicks philosophy:

> You are grateful everyday and that puts you in a better vibration. Ex: did you spill coffee on your white shirt and ruin it? Maybe when you go home and write in your gratitude journal later that day, "I'm happy and grateful I have many more white shirts to choose from in my closet." This shifts your focus from the negative to the positive.

> Even if nothing else in your life changes for the next 30 days that you maintain a gratitude journal, the act of being grateful will raise your vibration to be in better alignment with the universe. You focus on things you are grateful for, and thus receive more things to be grateful about.

> With your vibration elevating in the 30 days, you are put in alignment with the universe and thus get in the vortex. This makes the universe more receptive to your requests. You're putting out positive energy via the gratitude journal, and the universe bounces back your positive energy in the form of your desires.

If you're interested in the quantum physics aspect of this, Deepak Chopra touches on this in his book, The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire.
