Where in the world are you? I live in the UK so I don't want to give you poor advice. But what about something like the conair illumina? It isn't the most stylish if she wants something to display but functionally it is amazing. 3 paneled so you can see all angles, and 4 different light settings so you can see what your make up looks like in daylight, nightlight, workplace light and home lighting.

It is well lit with loads of LEDs; tri fold and magnifying.
There is loads of choice for different budgets on Amazon which comes with detailed reviews. The things that are important to me in a vanity mirror are
Illumination - so I can get a natural look every time
Tri fold - so I can see all the angles easily
Magnification - part of the mirror is magnified so I can do detailed looks, pluck stray hairs, check pores etc etc.
Look of mirror - i don't want something that looks ugly or doesn't match my decor
Portability - If she doesn't have a travel mirror and wants to travel with it you might want to take this into consideration
